• The tub remains the property of The Rotary Club of Huntsville at all times.
• The fee paid is for participating in the 2025 Rotary DockFest parade and race.
• At the completion of the event, the tub is returned to The Rotary Club of Huntsville unless alternate arrangements are made with the DockFest GOC.
• The participant MUST participate in BOTH the parade and the race. If there is no parade float, the tub may be disqualified from the race without refund at the organizers' discretion.
• The participant must take all measures to keep the tub in the same condition as received. Any damage to the tub while in the participant’s possession will be repaired at the participant’s expense.
• The participant is responsible for the cost of decorating, painting, and/or application of logos for the tub and parade float.
• The participant will complete a business/float info sheet for the announcers.
• No logos, signs, words, or phrases that are, at the sole determination of The Rotary Club of Huntsville, deemed offensive will be allowed on the tub or parade float.
• No modifications to the tub are allowed (except the painting/placing of logos), such as, but not limited to, drilling holes or cutting the tub.
• While in possession of the tub prior to the event, the participant is encouraged to display the tub in their place of business to promote the Rotary DockFest event. If displayed on the floor, precautions must be taken to prevent people from getting into the tub (e.g., a large sign or light product inside the tub). While on the floor there must be support under the body of the tub between the pontoons. The tub must be moved by two people and cannot be slid on the floor.
• The person the participant has chosen to drive the tub MUST have a valid boat operator’s license, have an approved life jacket or PFD, and wear it at all times during the race events. They must be at least 16 years of age prior to the first time driving the tub. The driver must attend at least one practice session and the drivers meeting the morning of the event. Failure to comply with all of these requirements will result in the driver being disqualified.
• If the driver is younger than 18 years of age (minimum 16 years), the legal parent/guardian must be present at the practice session and on the day of the event.
• The tub must be secured on the parade float so that it can be offloaded quickly (e.g., using a bungee cord). If tied down with rope, the rope will be cut by the offloading personnel so no delay is incurred. Once the tub is removed, the float must then completely leave the River Mill Park area.
• The use of alcohol or drugs prior to or during the event is strictly prohibited and if suspected could cause disqualification.
